The verdict arose from a May 2021 natural gas explosion at a rental property in East San Antonio that permanently altered the lives of a mother and her intellectually disabled son.
After hearing the evidence, a Bexar County jury found that CPS Energy failed to properly maintain its gas system despite years of warning signs indicating gas leaks at the property.
