In 2021, Shamsher Singh was fatally injured when the distracted driver of an Oncor truck slammed into the back of Singh’s disabled 18-wheeler parked on the shoulder of I-635 in Dallas.
“The evidence demonstrated that Oncor’s employee was distracted and failed to avoid Mr. Singh when dozens of other motorists reasonably did without incident,” said Lyons. “The jury in this case got it right and held a large company accountable that refused to take responsibility for killing a father and a husband.”
