A Rising Advocate for Clients in Complex Cases
Alejandro “Alex” Cardenas is an associate at Lyons & Simmons, where he represents plaintiffs in complex personal injury, wrongful death, and other high-stakes cases.
Alex brings meaningful courtroom experience to his practice. While attending SMU Dedman School of Law, he represented clients through the school’s Criminal Clinic, serving as lead counsel for more than 20 clients in over 30 cases and arguing motions in Dallas County Criminal Court.
Alex also gained valuable experience from both the state and federal bench. He served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Aiesha Redmond of the 160th Civil District Court in Dallas County, where he researched legal issues involving pending civil matters and observed trials and hearings. Earlier, he interned for the Honorable Randy Crane of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Alex earned his J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, where he served as an Articles Editor of the Science and Technology Law Review and was named to the Dean’s List. He earned his B.A., cum laude, in Politics and Law from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Alex is fluent in Spanish.
