For the second consecutive year, four Lyons & Simmons attorneys have been selected to the list of the nation’s 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers by the Lawdragon guide to the legal profession. Firm co-founders Michael Lyons and Christopher Simmons, in addition to partners Christopher Carr and Stephen Higdon were recognized by Lawdragon’s editors based on peer nominations, third-party research and extensive editorial evaluation.
That research demonstrates that in just the past 24 months the attorneys of Lyons & Simmons have secured more than $1 billion in verdicts and settlements in several high-profile cases involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims.
Most recently, the trial team of Michael Lyons, Chris Simmons, Chris Carr, P. Wes Black and Michael Wozniak conducted a two-week trial resulting in a $109.5 million jury verdict against CPS Energy for a gas leak that led to a home explosion in San Antonio that left the residents with extensive burns and other physical and emotional trauma.
In addition, the firm was recently honored as one of only two Dallas-based personal injury firms and one of only 16 statewide to earn recognition in the Chambers Texas Spotlight 2025 legal guide.
