Michael Lyons, Chris Simmons, Chris Carr, and Stephen Higdon have been selected to the 2027 Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America, a guide recognizing leading courtroom attorneys from across the United States.
The 2027 guide is particularly notable for Lyons & Simmons because Lawdragon expanded the Leading Litigators recognition, previously focused on defense lawyers, to include leading attorneys who represent plaintiffs. The inclusion of four Lyons & Simmons partners reflects the firm’s reputation for handling sophisticated catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death litigation on behalf of individuals and families.
National Recognition for Dallas Trial Lawyers
Lyons & Simmons represents clients in some of the most complex and consequential personal injury cases in Texas and nationwide. The firm’s attorneys handle catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims arising from trucking accidents, explosions and fires, oilfield incidents, aviation accidents, defective products and other acts of negligence.
The Lawdragon recognition follows a period of significant results for the firm.
In 2025, Lyons & Simmons secured a $109.5 million jury verdict against CPS Energy on behalf of clients who suffered catastrophic injuries in a residential gas explosion. The Bexar County verdict ranked among the largest negligence verdicts in Texas that year.
